Halloween Tree & Cupcakes
My mom, Grandma Cross stayed with us for 2 weeks to help out with Gavin - along with Trevor after he was born. While she was visiting, she brought along a fun project for her and Gavin to work - a Halloween tree. So fun and we love it on our kitchen table now too to celebrate Halloween coming up this weekend.
Gavin loved putting all the pumpkins on the tree - and also punched out bats on black paper to hang from the tree too.
Gavin & Grandma also made cupcakes to take to his babysitter and all his friends there celebrating that he is a new big brother.
Thanks Grandma for playing with me and for doing all these fun projects with me too. I love you so much and miss you already!
Raking & Playing in the Leaves
1st night at Home with Trevor
I love the ZIPPER
THE ZIPPER IS COOL.
Grammy & Grandpa Gillard
and lots of play time with Gavin too.
We appreciate all your love & support and can't wait to see you soon!

More pics - Trevor's first 3 days
Here are some recent photos of Trevor & the fam - click on the photo above.
It is hard to believe that it has been 3 days since Trevor joined our family - and we are heading home from the hospital tomorrow morning. Everything is going great - now, the poor little guy had to get circumsized last night (so that was a little traumatic) and thus - not alot of sleep for us last night.... but welcome to our new normal life for a while. Little Sleep = Newborn Parents
It has been great spending time with our family this week - and also a few friends stopped by the hospital to meet Trevor as well. We hope to see many more of you in the coming days too - so don't hesitate to stop by.

Oh Baby
Our little man - or should I say "big" boy arrived yesterday, 10/13 -
Trevor Mason Gillard
Weighing in at 9 lbs. 2 oz.... yeah you are reading that right. Scott and I had a bet going that he would weigh less than Gavin did... but clearly, we were wrong. (Gavin was 8 lbs. 5 oz)
Gavin jumped into the "big brother" role right away... and loves giving Trevor kisses and saying "Hi Trevor" frequently. It is pretty cute -
We will post more photos soon.... the Gillard Gang is doing great!

Wednesday is the Day - IF NOT BEFORE!
We have posted a few updates/announcements on the blog that we are expecting and due in October. Well - October is here - and it is the FINAL COUNTDOWN! And the last few weeks have been filled with LOTS of nesting... from many projects getting finished around our house, cleaning and organizing like nobody's business and then getting all of the "baby stuff" out again.
(which brings back lots of memories with Gavin... and now, let's do it all over again).
Since I had a C-section with Gavin - I have another C-section scheduled for this Wednesday, Oct. 13th... and we did think we were having this baby last night (Friday). I definitely was having contractions - but they were false labor (which I always find interesting... like you are suppose to know this because at the end of the day - it hurts, you're uncomfortable and the only thing I could think about was.... we need to find someone to watch Gavin if we go in the middle of the night (which we clearly have several outstanding friends who we know we could count on). Even though I have had one child already - I really don't think anything can prepare you for having another. Sure - you are more confident not as amateur, but the reality is - you never know how "having this baby" is really going to go down (no control... which is a little hard for me) AND will we really be able to handle another little person? Of course I know we will - but there is lots of emotion indeed.
We are very excited - anxious - but most of all can't wait to meet this new little guy (and we can't wait to share his name - as we did agree several weeks ago). Our family is arriving soon and we can't wait for many of you to meet him. I can't wait to see him soon - his little eyes open and my heart melt... we have so much love waiting for you. And as Gavin would say - "I'm going to be a big brother!"
Welcome THE GILLARD GANG to the blog world.....

Happy Fall
More pics from the Pumpkin Farm
Look at me on this tractor all by myself!
Little bitty chic - so cute! And we didn't choke it this year (yikes... remember last year?)
Loved riding on the Fire Truck - and ringing the bell!
Daddy had to help push - as our legs are not long enough yet.
Pumpkin Farm
Two of our favorites - fall weather & going to the pumpkin farm (Burger Farms in Newtown).
The weather was fantastic today and Gavin helped pick out all of our pumpkins too. One for each of us, including Baby G #2, as he will be here before Halloween this year.
We had a great time and this is truly my favorite time of the year!

Dancin' with My Friends
Barber Shop
Scott has been taking Gavin to the Barber Shop he has gone to for a while - Mariemont Barber Shop (where we used to live). A fun outting for Daddy & Gavin together.
I had never been with them to the Barber Shop - so I went with them tonight. Such a big boy sitting there all by himself in an actual barber chair.
He thinks the trimmers (buzz noise) tickles too... so cute!
Gavin is growing up so much right before our eyes!
*And a little disclaimer - I have less than 2 weeks left before our new little man arrives. Hard to believe that we will be a family of 4 (and may I note - 3 of which will be boys) very soon!
Thomas & Percy and now Bertie
Gavin has loved Thomas trains for quite some time now.... and the train table that (aka - small tables pushed together from IKEA - yes, we get creative) is in our family room is literally played at every single day on multiple occassions.
Our newest Thomas friend is Bertie who is battery powered - and pushes around all the other trains. Little Bertie has been a huge hit at our house!
(and we will be using lots of batteries with this one for sure!)
